London Velonotte
posted on 2 June 2012 | posted in Cycling events
On 23rd June 2012, London will host its first Velonotte, a moonlit bike ride starting at St Pauls Cathedral. From there the ride will be weaving its way through Whitechapel, Spitalfields, Tower Hamlets, Poplar, Newham and conclude at the Olympic Village. There will be lively discussion about architecture, urban policy and cultural life enroute.
The event has been organised at the invitation of The London Festival of Architecture and takes place on the festivals opening night.
First conceived by a Moscow based architectural historian named professor Sergey Nikitin, Velonotte has been enthusiastically welcomed in cities around the world including Rome, New York and St. Petersburgh, with rides attracting up to 5000 participants.
The ride starts at 11.30pm. For further information and registration click here - http://velonotte.blogspot.co.uk/p/welcome-to-london-velonotte.html
