Vintage Velo Bristol 2012posted on 6 May 2012 | posted in Bristol Bike BlogLast Sunday was one of those days when the weather really was as bad as predicted. Indeed the forecasts were so bad that the organisers of this years Bristol Vintage Velo cycle ride came close to cancelling. However, enthusiasm amongst participants was such that on the day around forty riders still chose to brave the elements and the ride went ahead as planned. ![]() Our gratitude to Bristol Cycle Campaign for the use of this picture. The ride started and finished in the centre of Bristol. Hot drinks and food were served enroute, followed by a variety of entertainment and the eagerly awaited announcement of this years winners of the prestigious 'Dapper Chap" and 'Chapess" awards. The Bristol Vintage Velo ride started in 2011 in response to requests for a local version of the successful Tweed Run held in London.
