The Cycle Showposted on 19 July 2012 | posted in Cycle communityCoinciding with the start of the London Olympics and Team Sky's success in the Tour de France, ITV4 begin airing an eight programme series entitled, 'The Cycle Show' The programme is scheduled to start at 8pm on Monday 23rd July, with the first episode, which promises to include cycle chat, news and features, being filmed in London's well known cycle cafe 'Look Mum No Hands' ![]() The inclusion of a show aimed at cyclists on mainstream television is further evidence of the growing popularity of the sport, and the rapid increase in the number of people getting on their bikes. This popularity is reflected across other media too, with many UK newspapers running articles on the subject recently. The show is designed to appeal to a wide audience, focussing on far more than just road racing. With features covering bike culture, news and fashion, and the inclusion of a 'Top Gear' style challenge. For anyone for whom 8pm on Monday is inconvenient, the show will repeat at 5.30pm on the following Saturday, and be available on ITV4+1 and online on ITV player.
