Mission 1 Racing is a cycling club that competes across various cycling disciplines with the sole purpose of increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Awareness is crucial, for it is increasing knowledge about this disease that can ultimately save lives. Their hope is that perhaps through their race efforts they will reach just one woman in time to make a difference.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer in women, and is often referred to as the 'silent killer" Early detection is vital if survival rates are to be improved, but hampered because symptoms can be vague or similar to those of other medical conditions.

Mission 1 Racing was founded by Tony Pacini in November of 2010 with the intent to continue the original mission of his sister Jean (Pacini) Miller, who within months of being diagnosed with the disease herself, became a tireless campaigner, advancing awareness of this deadly disease.

Sadly Jean eventually lost her fight with ovarian cancer. Mission 1 Racing is her legacy.
